Setting Default Search Locations & Languages
Save time by configuring global default locations and languages for all your Keyword Research queries.
Global Search Defaults
If you predominantly perform SEO for a specific country or language (e.g., Spanish speakers in the United States), you can configure global defaults to avoid selecting them manually every time you use the search tools.
How to Configure Defaults
- Open your My Account settings from the top menu avatar.
- Navigate to the Preferences tab.
- Locate the Default Location dropdown and select your target country.
- Locate the Default Language dropdown and select the target language.
- Click Save Preferences.
How Defaults Are Applied
Once saved, these settings will automatically populate the dropdown menus every time you open the Keyword Research or Brainstorm tools.
[!TIP] You can always override your defaults on an individual basis. If your default is 'United States', but you need to run a quick search in 'Canada', you simply change the dropdown in the search bar. It will not permanently alter your account defaults.
